Gunnar Rosenquist from Gothenburg, Sweden, burst onto the international beard scene at the 2006 European Championships in Amberg, Germany, where he took third in the full beard natural category, traditionally the most competitive. Gunnar is a peacelover and also a Master of Science in Computer Engineering. He lives in the woods near Gothenburg with his woman and his daughter.

The pride of Olympia, Washington, the Great Burke Kenny (also known as Burke Kenny the Great) took top honors in the full beard, styled moustache category at the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Brighton, England, on September 1, 2007. A former pizza delivery professional, Burke is pursuing his studies at Evergreen College.
He is a regular at the High Sierra and Joyce Daze beard contests.
